Established in 1974, The Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA) is a not-for-profit organization with an international membership of artists, retailers, wholesalers, museums, associations, government agencies, collectors and individual supporters -- all working together to promote, preserve and protect the arts and cultures of the American Indian.

Headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, IACA was formed when members of the Indian arts and crafts industry became concerned when imitations and imports were flooding the marketplace. They realized that by joining forces they could work more effectively to promote authenticity and find ways to educate the buyers and public about American Indian art.

As a result of the great success of the IACA Indian market held in Albuquerque in April of 2009, IACA will host another one-day retail market that will be open to the public. Exhibitors can choose to show for all three days, for the two-day wholesale market or just for the one-day retail market.
